– Peter Bazeley (E-Flat Bass)
Peter started playing on Eb Bass in 1967 at St Dennis Junior Band and had many contest successes including becoming National Youth Champions two years in succession. Peter progressed into the senior band playing his first contest at The Royal Albert Hall in the National Championships of Great Britain in 1971. The test piece was Le Roi Dys which had a Eb Bass solo along with Euphonium played at that time by the great John Dunstan. Enjoyed many years of contesting and concerts at St Dennis.
In 1981 Peter was a founder member of Kernow Brass and enjoyed many years of great banding fun including a tour in Germany. He returned to St Dennis in 1999 when the band had gone through a tough time and started again in the 4th section with mainly youngsters and a few older helpers. In 2001 he became Chairman of the band and has been extremely proud of everyone in the organisation for the amazing journey back to the Championship section over a 9 year period.

– Luke Bazeley (B-Flat Bass)
Luke has been with the St. Dennis Band since 1994 and is a true loyal dedicated member. He has played at the National Championships with the Band on many occassions winning 2 National Titles. He is very proud to be in St. Dennis Band having made some great friends along the way. The highlight of his banding career was winning the 2nd section National Finals where his Uncle Peter was able to hear the winning performance and celebrate with the band. His greatest influences in banding were his first teachers Mr J Brush and Mr B Minear who taught him some very valuable lessons in banding and ones he still adeers to now.
In his spare time Luke enjoys keeping fit and can often be seen looking in a mirror or a window at his reflection. His next goal is to play at the Grand shield and also the National Finals with the band.
– Mark Bullock (B-Flat Bass)
Mark joined St Dennis Band in July 2014. He started playing with Mt Charles Youth Band and was also a member of the Bugle Silver Band. Marks’ banding highlight was playing in the Square at Bugle following the 2016 victory at the West of England Bandsmens Festival.
